We are looking for an HR Generalist to join a wholesale distribution organization in Nashville, Illinois on a Contract basis. This fully onsite role will contribute to daily human resources operations, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits support, records administration, and general employee assistance. The position is well suited for someone who can balance administrative accuracy with responsive employee service in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Lead recruiting efforts for hourly, contract, and production-focused openings, from sourcing talent through hiring coordination
Review applications, conduct candidate screenings, and manage pre-employment steps to keep the hiring process moving efficiently
Organize and deliver onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation and completion of required documentation
Assist team members with benefits enrollment questions and provide timely support related to available programs
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare routine reports to support workforce tracking and compliance needs
Provide day-to-day administrative support across HR functions and contribute to assigned projects as business needs evolve
Requirements
Experience supporting core human resources functions, including administration and employee support
Background in recruiting and coordinating hiring activities for high-volume or operational roles
Knowledge of onboarding processes and new employee documentation requirements
Familiarity with benefits administration and responding to employee questions related to coverage or enrollment
Ability to maintain organized personnel records and work within HR information systems
Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented, service-oriented approach to employee interactions
Proficiency in handling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
