We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Walworth, Wisconsin. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a vital part in managing human resources functions such as talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and workplace safety. Job Responsibility:
Manage the recruitment process, including interviewing and onboarding new employees to ensure a seamless integration into the workplace
Collaborate with managers to identify necessary skills for positions and support talent development initiatives
Ensure employees receive proper training in safety, technical skills, and attention to detail by coordinating with subject matter experts
Act as the primary HR contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving workplace concerns to maintain a respectful and positive culture
Administer compensation programs, benefits enrollment, and payroll processing while maintaining accurate records
Conduct employee retention interviews, exit interviews, and disciplinary meetings with proper documentation
Oversee compliance with federal and state employment laws, including conducting workplace investigations and responding to unemployment claims
Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring all policy changes are communicated effectively
Partner with management to organize employee events and initiatives that enhance engagement and recognition
Monitor eligibility timelines for benefit programs and coordinate enrollment meetings with employees
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources or a related field
Strong knowledge of employee relations, HR administration, and onboarding processes
Experience with benefits management and familiarity with payroll support functions
Proficiency in utilizing HRIS systems for efficient record-keeping and reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive workplace relationships
Ability to ensure compliance with employment laws and workplace regulations
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
Familiarity with organizing and facilitating training programs for employees
