Job Description

This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth HR operations within a dynamic non-profit environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer preparation
  • Facilitate onboarding for new employees, ensuring all required documentation and systems are updated accurately
  • Manage employee status changes such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with organizational policies
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and leave policies
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors and coordinate annual open enrollment activities
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries about policies, procedures, and employment practices
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance-related activities
  • Support HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organizational processes and employee experience
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee information

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on employee relations and HR administration
  • Proficiency in managing onboarding processes and maintaining HR systems
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and administration
  • Experience using HRIS systems to streamline HR functions and reporting
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with employees and leadership
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
