Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level HR Generalist to join a non-profit organization based in New York, New York. This is a contract position lasting six weeks, designed to support the HR department during a period of increased workload. The role follows a hybrid schedule, with both onsite and remote work, and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential HR functions in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
  • Perform administrative HR tasks, including processing invoices and managing documentation
  • Generate and analyze reports using ADP Workforce Now to support HR operations
  • Assist with benefits administration by accurately entering and maintaining employee data
  • Provide general support to HR operations, ensuring compliance with established practices and policies
  • Collaborate with the HR team to address employee relations inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure accuracy across HR systems
  • Support day-to-day HR activities to ensure seamless department functionality

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in HR administration or generalist roles
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and employee relations
  • Experience with benefits administration and related functions
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and HR staff
  • Familiarity with hybrid work environments and adaptability to changing schedules
