We are looking for an entry-level HR Generalist to join a non-profit organization based in New York, New York. This is a contract position lasting six weeks, designed to support the HR department during a period of increased workload. The role follows a hybrid schedule, with both onsite and remote work, and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential HR functions in a dynamic environment.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization
Perform administrative HR tasks, including processing invoices and managing documentation
Generate and analyze reports using ADP Workforce Now to support HR operations
Assist with benefits administration by accurately entering and maintaining employee data
Provide general support to HR operations, ensuring compliance with established practices and policies
Collaborate with the HR team to address employee relations inquiries and concerns
Maintain up-to-date records and ensure accuracy across HR systems
Support day-to-day HR activities to ensure seamless department functionality
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in HR administration or generalist roles
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and familiarity with HRIS systems
Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and employee relations
Experience with benefits administration and related functions
Ability to handle administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and HR staff
Familiarity with hybrid work environments and adaptability to changing schedules
