We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our client's team in Shelbyville, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR administration, employee relations, and benefits management, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures to align with company objectives
Manage recruitment and placement programs, including job description approvals and compliance with employment regulations
Administer compensation and benefits programs, addressing employee and vendor issues as needed
Oversee HR and training budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and timely reporting
Lead proactive employee relations efforts, including regular staff visits and addressing workplace concerns
Conduct screening, interviewing, and pre-employment testing for prospective employees, while maintaining related metrics
Coordinate and deliver orientation programs for new team members in collaboration with safety and departmental teams
Handle benefit administration tasks, including compliance, documentation, and vendor communication
Manage assigned HR projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary requirements
Provide regular reports to management on employment metrics, financial updates, and trends
Requirements:
Proven experience in human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration
Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment regulations
Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with employees and leadership
Experience managing budgets and delivering accurate financial reporting
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Familiarity with onboarding processes and orientation programs for new team members
