We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract position that offers flexible part-time hours, with the possibility of transitioning to a long-term role. The ideal candidate will support key human resources functions, including benefits management, compliance, and employee relations.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with current regulations and company policies
Coordinate and oversee benefits enrollment and administration, ensuring employees have access to accurate information
Facilitate onboarding processes to welcome and integrate new hires effectively into the organization
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, including FMLA and other HR regulations
Utilize HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce to maintain employee records and streamline processes
Communicate effectively with employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns
Monitor and address compliance-related matters, maintaining adherence to legal and organizational requirements
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives to enhance overall employee satisfaction
Collaborate with management to address workforce planning needs and provide strategic HR advice.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the construction or contractor industry
Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce
Strong knowledge of benefits coordination and administration processes
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management
Ability to maintain and update employee handbooks and ensure compliance
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple HR functions efficiently
Previous experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
