We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires a strong background in certified payroll processes and compliance with federal and state labor laws. Responsibilities include managing payroll systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, resolving payroll inquiries, and assisting with HR-related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a team player and ready to cross-train with other positions.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee certified payroll processes to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations
verify payroll accuracy and maintain detailed records for audits and reporting
ensure employees are compensated in accordance with project-specific wage requirements
manage compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
utilize payroll software systems
provide support in employee relations and resolve payroll-related inquiries
assist with onboarding processes
collaborate with HR team members to maintain accurate employee records
coordinate benefit functions and ensure proper integration into payroll systems
process weekly payroll for field and office staff
maintain employee time records
manage wage garnishments, PTO tracking, and benefits deductions
ensure payroll taxes, direct deposits, and filings are completed on time
ensure compliance with labor laws, OSHA requirements, and company policies
assist management with documentation for terminations, disciplinary actions, and safety reporting
support front office with administrative tasks.
Requirements:
Strong background in certified payroll processes and compliance with federal and state labor laws
experience with payroll software systems like Computer Ease and Foundations
knowledge of the Davis-Bacon Act
experience in managing wage garnishments, PTO tracking, and benefits deductions
familiarity with OSHA requirements
team player who is willing to cross-train with other positions
proficiency in managing payroll taxes, direct deposits, and filings on time
ability to handle employee time records and ensure accuracy
expertise in onboarding and resolving payroll-related inquiries
ability to stay updated on changes in labor laws and wage standards.
Nice to have:
Experience with transitioning payroll systems
ability to assist management with documentation for terminations and disciplinary actions
familiarity with supporting front office administrative tasks.
