We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Birmingham, Michigan. Job Responsibility:
Oversee the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to coordinating interviews and extending offers
Facilitate onboarding by managing orientation, setup, and initial engagement during the first 90 days
Maintain and update HR systems to ensure accurate data and compliance with reporting standards
Assist with audits of personnel files and adherence to company policies to support compliance efforts
Support payroll operations by acting as a backup during peak periods or absences, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Collaborate with leadership to enhance employee communication and engagement initiatives
Develop and improve HR workflows, checklists, and standard operating procedures to optimize processes
Provide administrative support across HR functions, including maintaining handbooks and internal documentation
Partner with teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure smooth operations
Deliver high-quality service to employees and management by addressing HR-related inquiries promptly
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or people operations
Exceptional communication skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach
Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with HRIS platforms
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours during high-demand periods
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Nice to have:
Experience with multi-state payroll operations or HR systems such as Proliant or Paylocity is a plus
