Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable HR Generalist to join our team on a part-time basis in Los Angeles, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's human resources functions while collaborating closely with leadership and team members. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful HR initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and post job descriptions on platforms such as Indeed to attract candidates with relevant experience
  • Collaborate with the Board and Executive Director to address organizational HR needs and priorities
  • Organize, file, and scan important HR documents to maintain accurate records
  • Draft and review forms, including overtime requests, to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Provide guidance on alternative work schedules and advise on best practices
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, including scheduling and administrative support
  • Support onboarding processes by preparing documentation and ensuring smooth transitions for new hires
  • Assist in resolving employee inquiries and concerns to promote a positive workplace environment

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in human resources or a related field, preferably in a generalist role
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools, such as ADP and Kronos Timekeeping System
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in tools like Cisco Webex Meetings, Concur, and CRM systems
  • Experience in calendar management and scheduling
  • Knowledge of HR policies and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
