We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a broad range of people operations activities for a team based in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract position will play an important role in delivering day-to-day HR support, fostering positive employee experiences, and helping maintain organized and compliant HR processes. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in employee relations, onboarding, benefits support, and HR administration, along with the ability to work effectively across multiple priorities.
Job Responsibility
Provide day-to-day human resources support across employee relations, policy guidance, and routine HR administration
Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring paperwork, communications, and orientation steps are completed accurately and on time
Assist employees with benefits-related questions and support enrollment, updates, and related documentation
Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems and help ensure data integrity across personnel files and internal platforms
Partner with managers and employees to address workplace concerns, escalate issues when needed, and promote consistent HR practices
Prepare HR documents, track key personnel changes, and support compliance with internal policies and applicable employment requirements
Contribute to ongoing process improvements within HR operations, including updates involving HR systems or administrative workflows when applicable
Requirements
Experience in a generalist human resources role with exposure to employee relations and HR administration
Working knowledge of onboarding processes, employee documentation, and core HR operational practices
Familiarity with benefits support, including responding to employee inquiries and processing routine changes
Proficiency using HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate, confidential employee data
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of an organization
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Understanding of standard HR policies, procedures, and compliance expectations
