This is a visible, trusted, frontline HR role supporting a hard‑working team that keeps essential operations running year‑round. You’ll have strong backing from a supportive HR leader and a collaborative HR team located at corporate HQ—but you’ll own HR at the local level and truly make your mark.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the site
Lead all aspects of hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, especially high‑volume seasonal hiring
Build and prepare new hire packets
ensure Day 1 compliance (including I‑9s and background checks)
Support employees with HR questions, system navigation, paperwork, and more
Maintain employee data and assist with an HRIS transition (moving from QuickBooks to a new HR system)
Review and correct timecards (job codes, lunches, missed punches)
Coordinate group onboarding events during peak seasons
Help with benefit questions and general employee support
Partner with operations on scheduling, safety meetings, and workforce needs
Assist with uniform coordination and vendor communication
Support monthly safety meetings and recognition programs
Become a culture connector
Help modernize processes, policies, and communication channels
Requirements:
2-5 years of HR experience, including hiring and onboarding
Strong I‑9 and compliance knowledge
Experience supporting field-based, manufacturing, construction, logistics, or service-driven teams
Ability to stay calm, professional, and approachable
A proactive, confident communicator
Comfort working onsite, starting early (around 7AM), and staying flexible during weather‑related operational events
Tech-savvy mindset
Nice to have:
