We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist with multi-state payroll experience to assist our client on a long term 9-12 month contract position. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Senior HR Director, playing a pivotal part in managing the full employee lifecycle and supporting critical HR functions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance, coupled with the ability to make independent decisions and provide analytical insights.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding processes
Administer and coordinate benefits programs, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting
Process multi-state payroll and maintain payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate execution
Collaborate with the Senior HR Director to develop and implement HR policies and procedures
Conduct audits of benefits, payroll, and HR systems to ensure compliance and efficiency
Provide guidance and training on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to employees and managers
Support compensation and benefits planning while ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies
Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR/People role
Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll systems and processes
Strong knowledge of benefits administration and HR compliance requirements
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to ensure accurate data management
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently
Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with employees and leadership
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
