We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Huntington Beach, California. This long-term contract position focuses on supporting core human resources functions, ensuring smooth payroll operations, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing employee relations, recruitment, and administrative support while ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Administer HR programs such as benefits, performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee recognition initiatives
Address inquiries from employees, applicants, and managers regarding HR-related matters, escalating complex issues as needed
Participate in employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations
Oversee payroll operations, including data entry, validation, and preparation of payroll reports for the finance team
Manage recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes
Maintain accurate employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring compliance with regulations
Coordinate employee appreciation programs and organize morale-boosting events and celebrations
Visit job sites to engage with field staff, gather feedback, and support retention initiatives
Assist in planning and executing internal company events, such as team lunches and holiday celebrations
Keep abreast of HR best practices and employment laws, making recommendations for policy updates as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, including employee relations and HR administration
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll processes
Proficiency in managing onboarding procedures and ensuring compliance with I-9 requirements
Demonstrated ability to handle benefit functions and maintain accurate employee documentation
Familiarity with full-cycle payroll operations, including data validation and reporting
Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively liaise with employees and management
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
