We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of human resources functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to managing HR processes and supporting organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Manage employee onboarding processes, including I-9 verification, paperwork completion, and data entry
Provide support for employee relations matters, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of issues
Oversee benefits administration and assist employees with leave-related inquiries
Collaborate with hiring teams to coordinate interviews, conduct background checks, and facilitate employment offers
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws as well as company policies
Maintain accurate and organized HR records within HR systems and personnel files
Conduct investigations, participate in disciplinary meetings, and support terminations as required
Partner with HR leadership to address complex or high-risk HR issues effectively
Respond to routine HR-related questions from employees, applicants, and supervisors, escalating sensitive matters as needed
Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in HR administration, including onboarding, employee relations, and benefits management
Familiarity with HRIS systems, with ADP Vantage experience preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in all HR activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and Google Workspace
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills to build trust and credibility within the organization
