We are seeking a responsible and hands-on HR Generalist (Maternity Leave Cover) to join the IGG Global HR team and support our Barcelona office, Spain. This position will work closely with senior management, finance, and legal teams across the IGG global group. As the office is relatively small (around 9 employees) and well-established, this role will act as the sole HR and Administration professional on-site, ensuring smooth daily operations during the maternity leave period.
Job Responsibility:
Independently manage end-to-end recruitment, including job posting, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and onboarding, to support current and future hiring needs of the office
Oversee daily HR and administrative operations, including payroll coordination, onboarding and offboarding, attendance tracking, and employee records management
Manage employee relations issues, maintain a positive and compliant work environment, and support employee engagement and satisfaction
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with local Spanish labor laws and internal guidelines
Coordinate and organize internal training, onboarding sessions, and team-building activities
Handle daily office administration and facilities management, including equipment procurement and vendor coordination
Support management with HR data analysis and reporting, providing insights for decision-making, as well as addressing other HR-related needs of the business units
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
3+ years of experience in HR generalist or HR & administration roles
experience as a standalone HR is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of Spanish labor laws and employment regulations, with a strong compliance mindset
Proven ability to handle recruitment independently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both local and expatriate employees
Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities independently
Fluent in Spanish
