We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to multiple aspects of human resources, including payroll administration, compliance management, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR processes and be passionate about fostering a positive and productive workplace.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and execute payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions
Monitor compliance with payroll laws and regulations to maintain adherence to legal standards
Coordinate employee training programs, including safety protocols, anti-harassment courses, and certifications
Collaborate with department leaders to identify skills and competencies needed for open positions and assist in recruitment efforts
Screen, recruit, and facilitate the onboarding of candidates with relevant experience, including conducting background checks and eligibility verifications
Organize and deliver orientations for new team members and implement employee recognition initiatives
Handle core HR functions such as administering compensation, benefits, leave policies, and managing disciplinary actions and investigations
Respond to employment-related inquiries from staff and supervisors, escalating complex issues to the VP of Human Resources when needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by reviewing and updating HR policies and practices
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and advancements in human resources technology to enhance HR strategies
Requirements:
Proven experience in employee relations and HR administration, including handling sensitive matters
Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and the ability to educate new hires on company policies and procedures
Familiarity with benefits administration and leave management
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) for tracking employee data and records
Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Excellent organizational skills for maintaining both physical and digital employee files
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support employee engagement and collaboration
Ability to manage multiple HR tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
