Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support a dynamic organization in California through a long-term contract assignment. This position will play a central role in talent acquisition, employee lifecycle administration, compliance oversight, and HR reporting while helping deliver a positive and organized employee experience. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, confident working across multiple HR functions, and comfortable using HRIS platforms to manage data and support day-to-day operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead recruitment activities for both campus-based and corporate support positions, including candidate outreach, screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding coordination
  • Oversee new employee setup and employee separation processes, ensuring records, communications, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain personnel documentation in an audit-ready manner, including tracking required certifications, permits, and employment-related credentials
  • Use a comparable HRIS platform to manage recruiting workflows, employee information, and standard reporting needs
  • Prepare and review HR metrics and reports to help leaders monitor trends, maintain compliance, and make informed workforce decisions
  • Assist with employee training initiatives related to HR systems, workplace procedures, and internal practices
  • Collaborate with department leaders and cross-functional partners to strengthen HR processes and promote effective people practices
  • Uphold compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, including requirements tied to education-focused environments
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support in areas such as employee relations, onboarding coordination, and benefits-related processes

Requirements

  • At least 3 to 4 years of human resources experience, preferably in a broad HR Generalist role
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for multiple position types across different teams or locations
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms
  • Paycom is strongly preferred, though similar systems are acceptable
  • Solid knowledge of employee relations practices and HR compliance standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume or multi-site setting
  • education sector experience is a plus
  • Non-profit organization experience is welcomed but not required
  • Proficiency in core HR support areas such as onboarding, HR administration, benefits coordination, and employee data management
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
