We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in New Hyde Park, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations, fostering positive employee relations, and maintaining compliance with labor regulations. Job Responsibility:
Manage daily HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance activities
Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper wage calculations, tax deductions, and timely distribution
Review employee timekeeping records and address discrepancies to maintain accuracy
Oversee the submission and auditing of employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies
Maintain confidential HR and payroll records, ensuring data accuracy and security
Support benefits enrollment processes and coordinate leave-of-absence programs
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, HR policies, and expense-related matters
Assist in enhancing HR processes and implementing systems to improve operational efficiency
Generate HR and payroll reports, and provide support during audits
Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and company guidelines
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
Strong knowledge of employee relations and HR administration
Proficiency in onboarding processes and benefits management
Hands-on experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems)
Familiarity with payroll processing and timekeeping systems
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication skills for effectively addressing employee inquiries
