Looking for a HR Generalist, this is a foundational and hands-on role where you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, touching almost every stage of the employee lifecycle and ensuring staff feel supported. Location: Toronto, ON Hybrid: Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
Job Responsibility
Administer core HR programs including compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, and talent management
Provide guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive HR questions and issues arise
Facilitate new hire orientations, ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed, and conduct exit interviews
Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws, assisting with policy updates as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource information system (HRIS) records and compile regular reports
Requirements
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
Minimum of three years of broad, hands-on HR experience in a corporate or fast-paced environment
Strong working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA), human rights legislation, and HR best practices
Proven ability to manage HRIS/ATS platforms and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
