We are looking for an HR Generalist to provide broad human resources support for a well-established company with multiple locations in NJ. This Contract position will help manage core HR activities, support hiring and onboarding, and promote consistent application of policies and employment practices across the workforce. The role will also partner with leaders and employees to address workplace matters, maintain compliance, and strengthen day-to-day HR operations in a growing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily human resources administration, including maintaining employee records, organizing documentation, and supporting consistent policy application across locations
Coordinate hiring efforts by managing job postings, screening support, interview scheduling, offer preparation, and other recruitment logistics
Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including pre-employment checks, completion of required hiring paperwork, and orientation planning
Verify work authorization documents and ensure employment eligibility records are completed accurately and on time
Advise supervisors on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and practical HR approaches that support fair and consistent outcomes
Assist with performance management processes by supporting reviews, corrective action documentation, and improvement planning
Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and New Jersey employment requirements, as well as healthcare-related workplace and privacy standards
Support benefits and leave administration by responding to employee questions, processing changes, and coordinating protected leave requests
Track training, certifications, and continuing education requirements for both clinical and non-clinical staff while supporting development initiatives
Prepare HR reports and workforce data summaries to help leadership monitor hiring activity, retention trends, and staffing needs
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in human resources, with hands-on involvement in employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration
Working knowledge of federal employment regulations and New Jersey labor requirements
Experience supporting benefits administration and employee leave processes, including protected leave programs and disability-related absences
Ability to manage confidential personnel information with accuracy, discretion, and strong attention to detail
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and confidence using systems such as Paycom for employee data and HR operations
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to support managers and employees with strong attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
