Job Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a fast-moving hiring and onboarding function for an organization that provides strategic support, training, and other resources to schools. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment and can keep multiple hiring activities organized while delivering a strong candidate and employee experience. The role will work closely with the HR team to coordinate pre-employment steps, support HR administration, and help bring in education-focused professionals who will work directly in classroom settings.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate onboarding activities for newly hired employees, including employment eligibility verification, background screening follow-up, and completion of required hiring documentation
  • Partner with HR colleagues to move candidates efficiently through the hiring process while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and a positive onboarding experience
  • Support large-scale recruitment and hiring efforts for part-time talent, managing multiple openings and maintaining momentum across a high-volume workload
  • Help identify and process candidates with education-related experience who will provide specialized support within school and classroom environments
  • Maintain and update employee records and hiring data within HR systems, ensuring information is complete, current, and properly documented
  • Use collaboration and productivity tools such as Google Workspace and Slack to communicate status updates, organize workflows, and keep hiring activities on track
  • Monitor requisitions through a project tracking board and contribute to timely hiring progress aligned with established fill-time expectations
  • Assist with general HR administration, including employee relations support and benefits-related coordination as needed

Requirements

  • Experience supporting HR operations in areas such as onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, or benefits coordination
  • Ability to manage a high-volume hiring environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms is a must
  • experience with UKG Ready or UKG Pro is highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of pre-employment processes, including I-9 verification and related screening coordination
  • Comfort using Google Workspace, Slack, and other digital tools to manage communication and workflow
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track multiple requisitions and hiring steps simultaneously

Nice to have

Experience supporting recruitment or HR processes for education-focused, school-based, or mission-driven organizations is a plus
