Robert Half HR Solutions is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Decatur, Georgia. This Contract engagement offers the opportunity to play a critical role in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate payroll coordination, and effective benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with employment regulations. There is the possibility that this role will be contract to hire. The role is hybrid, coming onsite to the office 1-2 days and the rest of the days will be working from home. The ideal candidate will have operated as a sole HR department for a small organization.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee onboarding processes, including verifying employment documentation and conducting HR orientation sessions
Ensure accurate maintenance of personnel files and compliance with employment regulations
Coordinate payroll documentation submission and communicate employment status changes to the Finance team
Monitor benefits eligibility, assist employees with enrollment, and support open enrollment processes
Manage employee technology needs, including distribution, tracking, and troubleshooting of equipment
Track and celebrate employee milestones such as anniversaries and promotions
Maintain and update HR policies and documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
Collaborate with various departments to improve HR workflows and address operational gaps
Facilitate offboarding processes, including documentation, system updates, and equipment retrieval
Support leadership in handling employee concerns and maintaining proper documentation for employment decisions
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and HR administration
Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and benefit functions
Proficient in HRIS systems and comfortable managing HR-related technology - candidates with Bamboo HR will be given first consideration
Proven ability to maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing documentation and processes
Effective communication skills to engage with employees and collaborate across departments
Experience in payroll coordination and benefits administration
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes effectively
