Robert Half HR Solutions is currently looking for an experienced HR Generalist with a focus on benefits and payroll to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. Our client is moving to UKG and requires that any interim HR Generalist candidate has UKG as their recent HRIS experience. This is a long-term contract position where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting a diverse workforce, including both union and non-union employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to a dynamic work environment. This role is onsite in Midtown Atlanta, with easy and free parking. Candidates must be able to be onsite for this role; hybrid options will become available 1-2 days a week as the engagement progresses.
Job Responsibility:
Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring timely and accurate administration
Oversee payroll operations using UKG systems, maintaining compliance and accuracy
Collaborate with the HR team to onboard new employees and facilitate smooth transitions
Address employee relations matters with tact and professionalism, fostering a positive work environment
Support HRIS management and ensure data integrity within the system
Provide guidance and resources to employees on benefits and payroll inquiries
Work effectively with both exempt and non-exempt staff across varying levels of experience
Assist in maintaining compliance with labor laws and organizational policies
Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals
Contribute to a cohesive HR team by sharing expertise and supporting team initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on benefits and payroll
Proficiency in UKG payroll systems and HRIS platforms
Strong understanding of employee relations and labor law compliance
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personalities
Ability to manage tasks for both union and non-union employees
High emotional intelligence and adaptability in dynamic work environments
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Nice to have:
Familiarity with nonprofit organizations is preferred but not required
