We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Perrysburg, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee payroll processes, compliance requirements, and employee benefits within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR operations and a keen ability to support both hourly and salaried workforces effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Administer employee benefit programs, ensuring smooth transitions during enrollments, changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment periods
Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions for new team members, ensuring timely completion of necessary documentation and system integration
Maintain personnel files to ensure compliance, including employment records, certifications, and regulatory documents
Serve as the primary expert for payroll systems, managing employee data, benefits, reporting, audits, and self-service support
Oversee compliance processes, including driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing programs, certifications, and ongoing recordkeeping
Ensure adherence to contract compliance standards for labor documentation and reporting within construction and manufacturing projects
Support payroll operations by verifying employee data, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with payroll providers
Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance within manufacturing and construction environments
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist supporting both hourly and salaried employees
Strong background in benefits administration and compliance documentation
Expertise in payroll systems, preferably Paylocity, with the ability to manage data and audits effectively
Familiarity with contract compliance standards
Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to manufacturing and construction sectors
Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on documentation and audit readiness
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, to explain policies and provide guidance
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in all tasks
