We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Armonk, New York. This is a long-term contract position within the reinsurance industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping workplace culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting employee relations initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic HR programs and lead impactful projects.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with HR Partners to design and implement programs that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement
Assist in creating, updating, and interpreting HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals
Contribute to the development of HR objectives and systems by generating metrics, reports, and queries to meet company needs
Support the execution and administration of employee performance, leadership, and development initiatives focused on attention to detail
Recommend and implement new policies and procedures aimed at improving employee experiences and HR operational efficiency
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws by regularly reviewing and updating policies
Serve as the primary backup for HR Partner support and lead various HR-related projects
Provide comprehensive advisory services to employees, addressing issues such as attendance, health concerns, grievances, and organizational changes
Assist in maintaining and communicating updates to the employee handbook while contributing to policy refinement
Requirements:
Proven experience in employee relations, including handling grievances and organizational change
Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and HR best practices
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) for managing HR data and generating reports
In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations at local, state, and national levels
Exceptional communication skills for effectively advising employees and collaborating with HR teams
Ability to develop and execute HR policies and procedures to support organizational objectives
Experience in administering employee development, performance, and leadership programs
Strong analytical skills for creating and interpreting HR metrics and reports
