HR Generalist

• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
• Support investigations and documentation related to employee relations matters
• Provide guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and best HR practices
• Assist in fostering a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
• Coordinate full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, and interview scheduling
• Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation processes
• Ensure completion of I-9s, background checks, and required documentation
• Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and California labor laws
• Update and administer company policies and employee handbook
• Manage leaves of absence including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation tracking
• Support internal audits and ensure accurate record-keeping

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience
• Strong knowledge of California labor laws and employment practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
• Experience with HRIS systems (ADP, Paylocity, Workday, UKG, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
