We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Lowell, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual dedicated to fostering a positive workplace environment while ensuring HR processes align with organizational standards.
Job Responsibility:
Manage job postings and oversee applicant flow for various positions, including hourly, driver, warehouse, and other roles
Conduct candidate screenings, schedule interviews, and maintain communication throughout the hiring process
Coordinate pre-employment requirements such as background checks, drug screenings, and motor vehicle records
Prepare offer letters and ensure hiring and onboarding processes comply with regulations
Facilitate onboarding activities, including paperwork, system access, and orientation sessions
Maintain personnel files, I-9 documentation, and records to ensure compliance
Process terminations and manage offboarding tasks, including final pay and benefits updates
Support benefits enrollment processes, handle changes, and assist with qualifying life events
Assist with open enrollment coordination and employee communication in partnership with vendors
Provide guidance to managers on performance documentation and employee discussions
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources roles, including employee relations and HR administration
Proficiency in onboarding processes and benefits functions
Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and their utilization
Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism
Familiarity with compliance regulations and HR documentation standards
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience supporting managers in performance-related tasks and employee conversations
Capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
