We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Ladson, South Carolina. This role requires someone who can effectively manage human resources functions in a construction industry environment while serving as a trusted advisor to company leadership. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, non-corporate setting and possess a strong understanding of HR practices.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Provide guidance and support to employees and leadership regarding HR matters, including employee relations and performance management
Manage recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding processes
Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation of HR-related activities
Develop and implement HR policies tailored to the needs of a construction-focused business
Collaborate with ownership to address workforce planning and organizational development
Handle sensitive employee issues with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Facilitate training sessions and initiatives to enhance employee development
Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and workplace safety standards
Act as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries and concerns
Requirements:
Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within the construction or contracting industry
Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance
Ability to adapt to a non-corporate environment and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and leadership
Familiarity with labor laws and regulations applicable to the construction industry
Proficiency in managing employee records and HR documentation
