We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a manufacturing organization in Houston, Texas through a broad range of human resources activities in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple HR functions, from employee support and onboarding to compliance and records management. The role offers the opportunity to contribute in a small company setting where adaptability, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills are highly valued.
Job Responsibility:
Manage day-to-day human resources operations, serving as a key point of contact for employees and leadership across a variety of HR matters
Coordinate onboarding and employee documentation processes to ensure new hires are set up effectively and personnel records remain accurate
Support employee relations by addressing questions, helping resolve workplace concerns, and promoting consistent HR practices throughout the organization
Administer benefits-related activities and assist employees with enrollment, updates, and general program information
Maintain HRIS data and oversee HR administrative records to support reporting, compliance, and overall data accuracy
Review timesheets and timekeeping details, making necessary adjustments and partnering with internal teams on payroll-related activities, including Paychex support as needed
Help monitor adherence to labor regulations, company policies, and employment requirements within a compliance-focused environment
Contribute across the full employee lifecycle, providing support in areas such as hiring coordination, documentation, policy communication, and general HR administration
Requirements:
Prior experience in a generalist-level HR role with exposure to multiple human resources functions in a small or mid-sized company environment
Working knowledge of employment compliance, HR regulations, and standard personnel administration practices
Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR recordkeeping
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain organized, accurate employee data
Ability to review timekeeping information and assist with payroll processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual Spanish skills
Willingness to work on-site Monday through Friday in Houston, Texas
