We are looking for a motivated HR Generalist to join an onsite team in New Jersey. This long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR support with process improvement and administrative coordination in a fast-paced workplace. The person in this role will contribute across onboarding, employee relations, benefits support, and reporting while bringing strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate the onboarding experience for new team members, ensuring required documents, system entries, and orientation steps are completed accurately and on time
Provide day-to-day support for employee relations matters by responding to questions, documenting concerns, and partnering with internal stakeholders to help resolve issues appropriately
Maintain HR records and assist with administrative activities that support compliance, organization, and efficient department operations
Support benefits-related tasks, including employee communication, enrollment assistance, and follow-up on routine requests
Prepare, update, and analyze HR reports, spreadsheets, and other workforce data to help track activity and support decision-making
Monitor and update unemployment claim information and related status records with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
Help introduce and refine HR processes and workflows to improve consistency, efficiency, and the overall employee experience
Work collaboratively with the broader team while managing multiple priorities in a busy, hands-on environment
Requirements:
Experience in human resources with exposure to employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, and benefits support
Strong proficiency with HR systems and general business software, including the ability to create spreadsheets and generate reports
Comfortable handling detailed administrative work while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving setting
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited to a team-oriented workplace
Analytical ability to review data, identify trends, and support reporting needs
Self-directed approach with the initiative to take ownership of tasks and contribute beyond routine assignments
