We are looking for an HR Generalist to support employees and leaders across a multi-state workforce in Maryland. This Long-term Contract position will focus on delivering dependable HR operations, maintaining compliance, and creating a smooth employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings broad HR administration experience, strong judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information with accuracy and professionalism.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with managers and internal stakeholders to provide day-to-day HR support for a workforce of approximately 30 employees across multiple states
Coordinate the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding setup, separation processing, required documentation, and timely system updates
Administer benefit-related activities and respond to employee questions regarding available programs and enrollment matters
Maintain accurate and confidential employee data within HR systems, ensuring records are current and aligned with company policies
Monitor employment practices for compliance with state-specific labor requirements and support adherence to applicable regulations
Review and process payroll-related updates such as status changes and prorated adjustments to help ensure accurate reporting
Handle HR-related billing tasks, including invoice processing and reconciliation
Contribute to the refinement of HR procedures, documentation, and operational workflows to improve efficiency
Use Google Workspace to manage communication, documentation, and routine administrative coordination
Requirements:
Previous experience in an HR Generalist or progressively responsible HR Coordinator position
Solid knowledge of HR administration, employee relations, compliance, and end-to-end employee lifecycle support
Hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems
Familiarity with onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management
Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize work effectively and balance multiple priorities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency with Google Workspace for daily communication and document management
