We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist to join our team on a contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in employee relations, HR administration, and benefits management within the financial services industry. You will play a pivotal role in supporting employees and managers while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Job Responsibility:
Administer and oversee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives
Collaborate with external vendors to ensure accurate enrollment and effective communication of benefits
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR policies and practices
Assist global HR Business Partners in addressing local employee relations matters, including performance management and probation processes
Manage employee leave processes and coordinate with payroll for parental leave, disability, and other leave types
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HR systems
Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and internal company policies
Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives
Participate in regional and global HR projects, contributing to process improvements and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Requirements:
Proven experience in HR administration and employee relations within a detail-oriented environment
Strong knowledge of benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans
Familiarity with HRIS systems and data management processes
Ability to manage onboarding and offboarding processes effectively
Solid understanding of local labor laws and compliance requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees and management
Experience working on HR-related projects, including diversity and inclusion initiatives
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail in managing records and processes
