Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is looking for an HR Generalist to join a growing company in Meridian, Idaho and provide day-to-day support across key human resources functions. This position works closely with leaders to strengthen hiring efforts, employee support, and essential people operations for a workforce that includes both field and office employees. The ideal candidate brings a practical, service-oriented approach and can manage multiple priorities while helping maintain a positive and compliant workplace.
Job Responsibility
Manage end-to-end hiring activities for skilled trades, technical, and administrative positions, from sourcing candidates through offer coordination
Guide new hires through the onboarding process and support employees with benefits questions, leave requests, and related documentation
Monitor HR practices to help ensure alignment with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations
Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems to support reliable reporting and day-to-day operations
Collaborate with company leadership on initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and staffing needs
Assist with payroll-related activities by working closely with finance or accounting partners to help ensure timely and accurate processing
Support employee relations matters by responding to workplace concerns, providing guidance, and helping resolve issues professionally
Contribute to safety and compliance efforts by organizing required documentation and assisting with HR-related administrative follow-through
Requirements
At least 3 years of human resources experience, ideally within construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, or another field-based setting
Working knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, and core HR compliance responsibilities
Experience supporting a mix of hourly and salaried employee populations
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt in a fast-moving environment
Familiarity with HR information systems and employee data management practices
Background in onboarding, benefits support, and leave administration
Bachelor’s degree or an HR certification is valued but not required
