Solomon Page is actively recruiting for is seeking an HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations while the organization hires for a permanent position. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative HR team supporting programs that help advance astronomical research and space science. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting HR operations, benefits administration, HRIS systems, and payroll coordination. This is a hands-on operational HR role supporting employees, HR processes, and vendor coordination.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain employee records and data integrity within the HRIS system (UKG preferred)
Process employee lifecycle changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
Assist with HR reporting and data management
Support onboarding and employee lifecycle administration
Administer benefits enrollments, life events, and retirements
Manage COBRA notifications and compliance tracking
Respond to employee questions related to benefits and HR policies
Support leave administration and related documentation
Coordinate payroll-related processes and reporting
Manage vendor invoices and benefits billing reconciliation
Support file transfers and reporting with payroll and benefits vendors
Assist with payroll audits and reporting as needed
Assist with onboarding and employee orientation
Support employee recognition programs and service awards
Respond to employee HR questions and provide operational support
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in HR operations, HR Generalist, benefits, or HR administration
Experience using HRIS systems (UKG preferred)
Experience supporting benefits administration and HR data management
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple administrative and operational HR processes
Nice to have:
Familiarity with HR compliance regulations such as FMLA, ADA, and COBRA
Experience with payroll coordination or HR-related accounting processes
Experience supporting employee engagement or wellness programs
Strong communication skills and collaborative work style
