ADB Safegate is seeking an experienced HR Generalist (Payroll & Administration) to support its Australia and New Zealand operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, HR administration, and employee lifecycle support across a workforce of approximately 500 employees. The position is critical to ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and smooth HR operations, and will work closely with regional and global stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements
Handle payroll for approximately 500 headcount, including regular payroll runs, adjustments, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand employment legislation, tax, superannuation, and statutory reporting
Manage employee lifecycle administration including onboarding, offboarding, employee data maintenance, and contract administration
Act as the key point of contact for payroll and HR administration queries from employees and managers
Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and support audits as required
Work with HR and Finance stakeholders to ensure alignment on headcount, cost reporting, and payroll controls
Maintain and improve payroll and HR processes, controls, and documentation
Support HR operations activities and ad-hoc projects as required
Requirements:
5 to 7 years of experience in payroll and HR operations, with strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand
Proven experience managing payroll for a workforce of approximately 300–500 headcount or more
Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and compliance
Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Kronos, SAP, or similar
High attention to detail and strong accuracy in handling payroll and data
Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage deadlines and priorities independently
Good stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work with HR, Finance, and business leaders
Nice to have:

Exposure to audits, process improvement, and payroll controls
