The Finance-HR Clerk provides crucial support in both Human Resources and Finance functions. This position will serve as an assistant to the HR Officer, assisting with HR-related tasks and responsibilities. In the Finance department, the role primarily focuses on data entry, accounts payable, and assisting the Finance Controller with various finance-related duties, specifically for the gas station operations.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the HR Officer with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
Maintain employee records and update HR databases
Support in the administration of employee benefits, payroll, and training programs
Assist in the preparation of HR reports and documentation
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Perform data entry for the gas station operations, including but not limited to sales, inventory, and payroll data
Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, handling vendor payments, and tracking financial transactions
Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded in the appropriate accounting systems
Support the Finance Controller with month-end and year-end financial reports
Assist in maintaining financial records and preparing financial documentation for audits
Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned by the Finance Controller
Requirements:
Proven experience in HR or Finance roles, or a combination of both
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive employee information confidentially
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is an asset
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of basic HR practices and finance procedures is an asset
Reliable transportation is required
Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in HR/Finance or a related field is preferred
Previous experience in HR, Finance, or similar role is desirable
