The HR/ER Advisor plays a key role in supporting the Employee Relations Manager to ensure our workplace remains fair, safe, and compliant. You will provide operational advice to managers and employees across a broad range of industrial instruments and employee relations matters. This includes interpreting enterprise agreements and awards, responding to pay and agreement queries and supporting compliance across various processes to Fair work legislation and internal policies. You will be comfortable in obtaining data for the purpose of reports and to support decision making. In this role, you will help shape policy and work instruction development, contribute to enterprise agreement processes where necessary and support various P&C project deliverables. Job Responsibility:
Support the Employee Relations Manager to ensure our workplace remains fair, safe, and compliant
Provide operational advice to managers and employees across a broad range of industrial instruments and employee relations matters
Interpret enterprise agreements and awards
Respond to pay and agreement queries
Support compliance across various processes to Fair work legislation and internal policies
Obtain data for the purpose of reports and to support decision making
Help shape policy and work instruction development
Contribute to enterprise agreement processes where necessary
Support various P&C project deliverables
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in human resources or equivalent (for example industrial relations or law) with at least 5 years’ experience in a HR or ER role
In-depth knowledge and ability to review situations against relevant employment laws and HR policies and practices
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with managers, provide sustainable advice and influence outcomes related to employee relation matters
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to recommend appropriate ER actions against various organisational situations
Ability to professionally interact with internal and external stakeholders
Experience interpreting and applying relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to travel to Warrigal’s other locations as required
Experience in working with unions and/or union delegates on a needs basis
Nice to have:
Knowledge of aged care industry
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher)
