Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our client's team in Tuskegee, Alabama. This is a Contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to lead human resources functions in a higher education setting. The role involves overseeing HR operations, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and support a team of three HR professionals to ensure smooth departmental operations
Collaborate closely with the President and Chief of Staff, attending regular meetings to discuss organizational goals and strategies
Oversee benefits administration, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely support
Manage all aspects of employment processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and terminations
Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure compliance with regulations and policies
Drive employee relations initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment
Utilize PeopleAdmin and Microsoft Office 365 Suite to effectively manage HR systems and workflows
Provide leadership in compensation and benefits planning to align with institutional goals
Ensure HR compliance with higher education standards and legal requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role
Proficiency in using Office 365 Suite and PeopleAdmin systems
Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefit functions, and HR compliance
Experience in managing compensation and benefits programs
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive personnel matters with discretion and professionalism
