We are looking for an experienced HR Director to provide strategic and hands-on human resources leadership for a long-term contract opportunity based in Lombard, Illinois. This role will oversee key HR functions, support a positive employee experience, and help ensure policies, programs, and practices align with organizational needs. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment in employee relations, benefits oversight, compensation administration, and HR compliance.
Job Responsibility
Lead day-to-day human resources operations and provide guidance across employee relations, policy interpretation, and workforce support activities
Advise managers and leadership on sensitive workplace matters, helping resolve employee concerns fairly, promptly, and in accordance with company standards
Direct benefits administration activities, including employee support, issue resolution, and coordination with internal or external partners
Oversee compensation-related processes and contribute to the effective management of pay practices, job alignment, and rewards programs
Maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation to support consistent administration and regulatory compliance
Monitor employment law and HR compliance requirements, recommending updates to practices and processes as needed
Partner with leadership to strengthen HR programs that support engagement, retention, and an effective workplace culture
Prepare and review HR records, reports, and metrics to support decision-making and operational accountability
Requirements
Proven experience serving in a senior human resources leadership role, preferably as an HR Director or in a similar capacity
Strong background in employee relations with the ability to manage complex workplace issues with discretion and professionalism
Hands-on experience with benefits administration, HR operations, and compensation-related programs
Solid knowledge of human resources compliance requirements and employment practices
Ability to interpret policies, advise leaders, and balance business needs with employee considerations
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
