HR Director

• Identify root causes of workforce and HR-related challenges and recommend sustainable, long-term solutions
• Communicate sensitive employee and organizational matters professionally, appropriately, and confidentially when required
• Advise managers and supervisors on the interpretation and application of employment laws, policies, and best practices
• Ensure policies, procedures, and employment practices are properly documented, communicated, and consistently applied
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and management by addressing concerns, providing recommendations, and escalating matters when appropriate
• Partner with leadership to support the design, implementation, and administration of competitive and compliant compensation and benefits programs
• Collaborate with operational leaders to develop and implement training, safety, and workforce development initiatives aligned with business needs
• Lead performance management and career development programs that drive employee growth, accountability, and organizational success
• Develop and implement communication strategies and employee engagement initiatives that promote a transparent, inclusive, and positive work environment
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, detail oriented development, and exceptional service
• Review, evaluate, and recommend enhancements to HR policies, procedures, training programs, and organizational practices
• Stay current on industry trends, employment legislation, and HR best practices to support organizational effectiveness and compliance
• Champion and communicate the organization’s employee-focused vision, values, and workplace initiatives
• Support a positive organizational culture while partnering with leaders to address day-to-day employee relations and performance matters
• Provide guidance and recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including compensation, recognition, promotions, transfers, development, and corrective action
• Manage annual compensation review processes, including salary and wage administration programs
• Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews and feedback analysis, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Partner with legal counsel and external resources, as needed, on employee relations, compliance, and risk management matters

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree
• Minimum of 5 years in HR management
• Proven experience in a senior human resources leadership role with responsibility for employee relations, policy administration, and organizational support
• Strong knowledge of workplace investigations, labor and employee relations practices, and HR compliance standards
• Hands-on experience managing HRIS platforms, with familiarity using Paylocity or similar human resources systems
• Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and communicate employee handbook policies and related HR procedures
• Experience leading onboarding programs, orientation for permanent employees, and employee integration efforts
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credibility across leadership and employee groups
• Background supporting organizations in commercial or residential real estate, construction, or a related property-focused industry is preferred
