The HR Coordinator is a hands-on HR generalist responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR activities in Mexico. This role acts as a local point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring the effective execution of HR processes. The position works closely with the HR Associate Director and to ensure that HR policies and practices are implemented in compliance with Mexican labor law and in alignment with company guidelines.
Job Responsibility
Lead end-to-end talent acquisition activities, partnering with managers to identify hiring needs, support recruitment decisions, and ensure strong cultural fit
Oversee onboarding and induction processes, ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with local employment requirements
Provide guidance on local labor legislation and ensure adherence to employment regulations
Support employee engagement and internal communication initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture
Manage core HR administration, including employment documentation, onboarding/offboarding, absence tracking, and payroll coordination
Ensure HR records, mandatory documentation, and legal requirements are maintained accurately and up to date
Administer compensation and benefits programs, support salary review processes, and monitor potential retention risks
Lead the annual performance management cycle, including objective setting, calibration sessions, and manager support
Identify learning and development needs and coordinate training initiatives to build organizational capability
Act as a trusted HR advisor to leaders, providing pragmatic guidance on employee relations, performance, and people matters
Support the implementation of global HR programs, policies, and initiatives while ensuring local compliance
Contribute to workforce planning, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion, and evolving workplace practices
Maintain understanding of reward frameworks, bonus schemes, and sales incentive programs
Requirements
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Law, or a related field
Previous HR experience within an international organization is an advantage
Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law, HR practices, and payroll processes
Experience leading end-to-end recruitment, including workforce planning, profile definition, candidate assessment, and hiring
Ability to manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, payroll, employee relations, and offboarding
Experience providing HR guidance and support to managers and employees
Fluent Spanish and advanced English
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work autonomously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Pragmatic, hands-on approach with a strong results orientation
Trusted advisor to senior leadership, with the ability to influence and build credibility
