Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team in Itasca, Illinois. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to support key HR functions and contribute to creating a seamless employee and candidate experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR operations, onboarding, compliance, and talent management while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and enhance the onboarding process to ensure a consistent and positive new employee experience from offer acceptance through the first 30 days
  • Manage pre-boarding activities, including background checks, system access setup, and documentation to ensure a smooth transition for new employees
  • Facilitate orientation sessions, equipping new team members with the tools and knowledge needed for early success
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with efficiency and professionalism to maintain a positive candidate experience
  • Partner with hiring managers to optimize recruitment timelines and streamline the hiring process
  • Maintain and audit employee records in HR systems with utmost accuracy and confidentiality
  • Generate and analyze reports related to compliance, performance reviews, and talent management
  • Assist with the administration of talent assessments and leadership development programs
  • Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring timely processing of employee lifecycle changes, such as promotions, terminations, and transfers
  • Contribute to special projects, including system upgrades and process improvements, to enhance HR operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR operations, including onboarding and employee lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee records
  • Experience with MS Office, Paylocity, and/or G-Suite preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and HR best practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering error-free work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees and leadership
  • Familiarity with pre-employment requirements and related processes
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
