We are looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join our team in Oakland, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a positive employee experience. Job Responsibility:
Provide administrative support for accommodation requests, collaborating with employees and managers to address needs
Assist with preliminary investigations and employee relations issues under the guidance of HR leadership
Communicate HR updates and resources to employees effectively, fostering clarity and support
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation and employee records
Escalate complex or sensitive HR matters to the HR Manager or appropriate team members as necessary
Support onsite HR initiatives and contribute to various projects as directed
Ensure adherence to HR compliance standards, including background checks and onboarding processes
Utilize HRIS systems to manage and track employee information efficiently
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, or Generalist role preferred
Familiarity with managing leave of absence processes and employee accommodation requests is advantageous
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, empathy, and sound judgment
Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees across all levels
Availability to work onsite during standard business hours
Experience with HRIS systems is a plus
Prior experience in contract HR roles is preferred
