The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, ensuring day to day HR processes run smoothly, accurately and in compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role will serve as a point of contact for associates, addressing questions and providing directions as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Manage new hire onboarding and offboarding processes
communicate required steps and information
Prepare materials for new hire orientation and information sessions and support the facilitation of those presentations
Maintain i-9 compliance
Maintain associate records in Workday and process employee changes to keep data current
Cover HR Hours servicing the DC hourly population as scheduled to assist associates
Maintain the HR DC Lobby Library – ensure communications and resources are updated and timely
Prepare associate change letters (promotions, equity, title changes, lateral moves) and partner with leaders to finalize approvals
Assist the HR team with Performance and Development and Talent Strategy key milestones and sessions (including creating the documents, scheduling the meetings and updating files accordingly) for the Distribution and Contact Center
Plan and execute engagement activities for the Distribution Center population
Schedule and reserve meeting locations for various DC associate activities such as small group meetings
Manage the OSHA injury log and unemployment claim processes
Pull reporting from Workday as requested
Support ad hoc HR projects and events as needed
Support Distribution Center business initiatives as assigned
Maintain a positive, friendly, and approachable presence with Distribution Center, Contact Center and Corporate associates by actively seeking opportunities to connect
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or a related field preferred
1-2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or Assistant or relevant internship experience
Basic understanding of HR functions and best practices
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High computer literacy with capabilities including Outlook, MS Office and related business and communication tools, experience in Workday is a plus
