Our client, a leading organization in the education industry, is seeking an HR Consultant for a short-term assignment to conduct a comprehensive review and refresh of their Human Resources department.
Job Responsibility:
Audit existing HR policies, practices, and department workflows for the organization
Identify policy gaps and compliance risks, particularly around confidentiality and document management
Update and expand the employee handbook and job descriptions
finalize all changes in a comprehensive, streamlined format
Document and create clear, standardized HR processes, with special emphasis on onboarding, legal/compliance reminders, and employee relations procedures
Recommend and implement modern filing and HR information systems, moving away from paper-based administration
Evaluate current software usage and advise on integration and optimization for HR operations
Collaborate with an existing HR Coordinator to transition knowledge and create robust systems for efficient department operation
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in HR auditing, policy writing, and process improvement
Proven success managing HR projects within education or similar highly regulated industries preferred
Familiarity with ADP, Sage, and HR technology implementations
Exceptional written communication skills and ability to navigate sensitive team dynamics
Experience supporting multi-site organizations and high-volume recruiting environments
