We are looking for an HR Compliance Specialist to join our client's team! We’re seeking a detail-oriented Compliance & Onboarding Specialist to support a local organization during a busy hiring period. This person will play a key role in ensuring new hires move smoothly through pre-employment steps while helping maintain accurate and compliant records.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with all aspects of new hire onboarding, including document collection, Form I-9 completion, and background/drug screen coordination
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Communicate with candidates to guide them through onboarding tasks and deadlines
Review and organize personnel files, certifications, and compliance documentation
Enter and maintain data in HRIS/onboarding systems
Coordinate with hiring managers, HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure onboarding readiness
Support audits and compliance projects as needed
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, compliance, or administrative support
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Nice to have:
Experience with HRIS or onboarding platforms is a plus
