Job Description:

We are looking for an HR Compliance Specialist to join our client's team! We’re seeking a detail-oriented Compliance & Onboarding Specialist to support a local organization during a busy hiring period. This person will play a key role in ensuring new hires move smoothly through pre-employment steps while helping maintain accurate and compliant records.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with all aspects of new hire onboarding, including document collection, Form I-9 completion, and background/drug screen coordination
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with candidates to guide them through onboarding tasks and deadlines
  • Review and organize personnel files, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Enter and maintain data in HRIS/onboarding systems
  • Coordinate with hiring managers, HR, and cross-functional teams to ensure onboarding readiness
  • Support audits and compliance projects as needed

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR, onboarding, compliance, or administrative support
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

Nice to have:

Experience with HRIS or onboarding platforms is a plus
