We are looking for a skilled HR Compliance and Operations Specialist to support and enhance human resources processes within our clients organization. This long-term contract position is based in Chicago, Illinois, 100% remote, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to HR operations while ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR systems, onboarding, and employee relations, along with a strong understanding of HIPAA requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee human resources administrative tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and standards
Utilize HRIS systems to maintain accurate employee records and streamline workflow processes
Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new hires are seamlessly integrated into the organization
Address employee relations matters, fostering a supportive and compliant workplace environment
Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and manage sensitive employee information securely
Support compliance audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with various departments to align HR practices with business objectives
Develop and maintain documentation related to HR processes and compliance standards
Provide guidance and training to employees on HR policies and procedures
Monitor and report on HR metrics to improve operational efficiency
Requirements:
3-5 years of proven experience in human resources administration, including employee relations and compliance
Familiarity with Workday and Jira and has the ability to manage data effectively
Strong knowledge of onboarding practices and procedures
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the handling of confidential information
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Exposure to GDPR and global HR data handling standards, including documentation and retention requirements
Experience supporting Public Trust, government clearance, or regulated client onboarding
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
