Our client, a mission driven nonprofit organization is seeking a HR Communications Specialist to join their team on a temporary basis with a strong potential to go permanent in Washington, D.C.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute internal communication strategies, plans, and messaging for HR initiatives and organizational priorities
Draft and manage internal communications, including emails, SharePoint content, newsletters, toolkits, and leadership messaging
Partner with HR, Communications, and cross-functional teams to coordinate messaging, timelines, approvals, and delivery
Support change management and employee engagement efforts through effective communication planning
Track communication activities and outcomes to ensure consistency and continuous improvement
Create engaging, employee-focused communications that enhance the overall employee experience
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong experience with communication strategy, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement
Understanding of HR concepts and the ability to communicate organizational changes effectively
Experience with change management, employee communications, and cross-functional collaboration
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and project management tools such as Asana
Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills
