Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Claims Coordinator to support a high-volume claims function within a fast-paced HR environment. This role will be primarily responsible for processing unemployment claims and assisting with workers' compensation and leave of absence claims. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing a repetitive, high-volume workload.

Job Responsibility

  • Process and manage unemployment claims from initiation through resolution
  • Assist with workers' compensation and leave of absence claim administration
  • Review, analyze, and maintain claims documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Track claim status, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure timely resolution
  • Respond to claims-related inquiries via phone and email while providing excellent customer service
  • Communicate with employees, insurance vendors, and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve claim issues
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all claims activity
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Prior experience processing unemployment claims is required
  • Experience with workers' compensation and/or leave of absence claims is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in claims administration, HR operations, or a related role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable handling highly confidential information with discretion
