We are looking for an HR Business Partner to support leaders and teams by aligning people strategies with operational goals in Overland Park, Kansas. This role serves as a trusted advisor on organizational planning, employee matters, and talent priorities while helping managers make informed workforce decisions. The position also works closely with specialized HR teams to deliver programs and processes that strengthen performance, engagement, and business results.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the lead HR contact for assigned business units, providing guidance that connects workforce decisions with broader organizational objectives
Collaborate with department leaders to assess business direction, identify talent implications, and shape plans for staffing, team design, succession, and leadership effectiveness
Coach managers on employee-related situations, offering practical direction on policy application, performance concerns, team dynamics, and workplace issues
Support the resolution of employee relations matters by advising on conflicts, conduct concerns, investigations, and corrective actions in coordination with the appropriate HR specialists
Build strong partnerships with business leaders to anticipate staffing and organizational needs and recommend proactive HR solutions
Work closely with centers of expertise such as talent acquisition, compensation, talent management, and employee relations to align HR support with business priorities
Drive the delivery of recurring HR processes, including performance reviews, talent assessment, succession planning, compensation activities, and related annual programs
Analyze workforce and HR data to spot trends, inform leadership discussions, and support sound decision-making
Oversee HR administrative activities such as job updates, organizational changes, onboarding coordination, and hiring-related transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives while providing additional support to HR leadership and client groups as business needs evolve
Requirements:
Proven experience in an HR business partner, HR manager, or similar human resources role supporting business leaders
Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, HR administration, and the consistent application of workplace policies
Experience partnering with leaders on organizational planning, workforce decisions, and talent management initiatives
Ability to interpret HR and business data to identify trends and support recommendations
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and managing HR transactions with a high level of accuracy
Experience supporting onboarding and collaborating with recruiting or talent acquisition teams
Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills across multiple levels of an organization
